My dad's health was declining and was put on Hospice. My mom, or really no one else in our family could provide for all his caregiving needs. Eventually, my Dad needed 24 hour care and all the caregivers that worked with my Dad were excellent! I cannot say enough about how professional, loving, patient, and skilled our caregivers were. My Dad developed a special affection for Aurora, and I believe she felt the same way about my Dad. She would sit with him, listen to his stories, and even danced for him. She made him laugh. Sadly, my Dad passed away three weeks ago, but the great loving care that all the caregivers provided, to really all of my family, including my mom is so comforting. I highly recommend this agency.

Approximately 4 years ago I interviewed, by phone and in person, a number of home care companies. The one that stood out was Sunland….whom I hired to care for my relative in my home. Eventually, my relative had to have three shifts, 22 hours per day, of home care. I was very happy with Sunland’s caregivers. After a number of months my relative needed to be placed in an assisted-living home that had their own staff of caregivers, so Sunland was no longer needed. Because my close relative has deteriorated, I recently hired Sunland again to send outside caregivers to give my relative one-on-one attention at the assisted-living home. On different days of the week, they have sent three different caregivers and all three ladies are top-notch. All three, on a scale of 1 thru 10, are tens! What are the chances of that happening with any company? Probably pretty unlikely, but it has happened with the company that should be your first choice….SUNLAND HOME CARE!

I live across the country from my elderly parents, who are in San Diego, so when I began to search for in-home caregivers for them I was dependent on online reviews and first impressions over the phone to guide my search. I was drawn to Sunland Homecare because of the excellent reviews. I left a voicemail the first time I called and my call was immediately returned by Debbie Phillip, the owner of Sunland. She was as warm and reassuring as anyone could possibly be over the phone. She put me at ease right away. I even cried the first time I talked to her because there are so many emotions that rise to the surface when trying to make decisions for your loved ones’ needs and care.

What a whirlwind of unexpected health events it’s been for both my parents in the past several months! Sunland was able to keep pace with several changes in our circumstances, due to the exemplary work ethic of company owners, Debbie and Chandran Phillip, and the fine people they hire. Sunland caregivers were punctual, communicative, willing to work, adaptable and friendly. When one parent had to move to out-of-home care, our helpers took turns with family to be sure the one left behind was able to do daily visits at the elder care home.Though we ultimately chose to move both our loved ones to memory care, my parents were able to live comfortably for a longer time in their own familiar home thanks to Sunland.
